Peanut, the guinea pig by Shawnda Walker

Peanut, the guinea pig by Shawnda Walker

Children must learn to be thankful for the things they get and they should learn to manage even if they don't get the thing their way. This lovely story of a guinea pig will surely help the children understand better.

The little guinea pig 'Peanut' was spoiled by her owner. She provided Peanut with everything thing she wanted. Whenever peanut doesn't get what she wants she started throwing tantrums at her owner.

Once her owner was sick, still peanut didn't fail to throw tantrums at her. That day when peanut woke up from the sleep she found herself abandoned by her owner. That's when she realism how selfish and thankless she has been. And she decided that she would be a good guinea pig from now on.

This is a nice picture book that teaches children that we must value the people and the things we have got in our life. The language used is simple so that that kids get to understand it easily. Reading through this book will definitely bring a smile on the face of children!
